JAMMU, Jan 1: Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray J&K unit today launched a signature campaign in the presence of its national organizer, Gulab Chand Dubey demanding restoration of Statehood to J&K and Government jobs in the Union Territory for local youth.
Dubey along with J&K Shiv Sena President, Manish Sahni started the campaign with their signatures at a function near Maharaja Hari Singh’s statue.
Sahni said a target of 10 lakh signatures has been set which will be sent to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on January 26 this year.
He informed that all the district units of Shiv Sena have been instructed to visit colleges, universities and door-to-door for campaign.
The Shiv Sena leader said, despite a long wait of 15 months, the government has not fulfilled its promise of restoration of Statehood to J&K.
Gulab Chand Dubey in his address said that injustice is being done with the people of J&K.
“Article 370 has become history but even today issues of development and employment are being ignored,” he maintained adding that the Central Government has not fulfilled any of its promises.
Meenakshi Chibber, Women Wing President of Shiv Sena; Ashwani Gupta, Working President; Vikas Bakshi, General Secretary; Surjit Singh Chib; Vice President; Balwant Singh and Parveen Gupta, Secretaries; Vikas Dewan, Rakesh Handa, Bhuri Singh, Sanjeev, Neelam Samyal, Geeta Lakotra, Rajat Lahoria, Raj Singh, Mamta Devi, Dimple, Dharmachand Sharma, Ashwani Prabhakar, Shapatain Singh, Rakesh Verma, Pooja Singh and Santosh Rani were also present on this occasion.
