RAJOURI, Feb 13: Sub Inspector of J&K Police, Ashish Chowdhary, a 2010-11 batch officer, has been decorated with DGP’s Medal and certificate for his excellent work.
Medal was decorated on the officer by Senior Superintendent of Police, Rajouri Yougal Manhas alongwith Additional Superintendent of Police Rajouri Liyaqit Ali, Deputy Superintendent of Police HQ Surinder Khadyar and other officers.
The Medal and certificate in favour of SI Ashish Chowdhary was announced by Jammu and Kashmir police on the eve of new year.
The officer, presently posted as Incharge Police Post Rajouri city served on several other assignments in Rajouri district which include Police Post, Lam, Police Station Rajouri, Police Post Bhawani, Police Station Nowshera and Police Post Rajouri city.
In the year 2018, he initially led the operation of Government authorities to rescue the civilians and school students who got trapped in cross LoC shelling in Bhawani and Kalsian area of Nowshera.
