SI among 7 injured as Sumo rolls down

DODA, Aug 8: Seven persons including a Sub Inspector of Police Department were injured when the Tata Sumo they were traveling in skidded off the road and rolled down into gorge at Baglie area of Tehsil Chilly Pingal, here today.
As per official sources, a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK06-3088 was on its way to Chilly from Gandoh, when the driver lost control over it and the vehicle plunged into gorge at Baglie area of Tehsil Chilly Pingal.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and with the help of locals started rescue operation.
All the injured persons were shifted to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Gandoh from where 3 were referred to GMC Doda for specialized treatment.
The injured were identified as Chander Kant (SI posted at Police Station Gandoh), son of son of Mela Ram, a resident of Sunwara, Mohammad Ibrahim, son of Mohammed Ismail, a resident of Chilly, Nazir Ahmed, son of Ghulam Mohammad, a resident of Chilly, Setwant Singh, son of Ram Singh, a resident of Chilly, Nazir Ahmed, son of Wali Mohammed, a resident of Chilly, Saleem Khan, son of Lal Din, a resident of Chilly and Sadam Hussain, son of Abdul Gani, a resident of Chilly.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Gandoh Police Station and investigation started.
