JAMMU, Jan 22: Shubam Khajuria slammed fourth century of the season as he scored 104 runs, studded with 18 boundaries and one six against Vidarbha in a match for 3rd place in the ongoing Cooch Behar Under-19 Cricket Tournament at Nagpur, today. Aquib Nazir also scored 58 runs as J&K were 206 for the loss of 8 wickets at stumps on day-3 of the 4-day match.
According to the reports reaching here, Shubam sent the rival bowlers on a leather hunt with his elegance, utmost timing and fluid grace.
Earlier, riding on splendid tons by Akshay Wadkar and JM Sharma, Vidarbha scored a mammoth 630 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 215.4 overs against J&K
Akshay Wadkar scored 137 runs off 312 balls which included 17 boundaries, while JM Sharma slammed 119 runs off 228 balls with the help of 21 boundaries. SS Neral, AS Tiwari and SO Katriya also slammed half-centuries, scoring 84, 66 and 51 runs respectively. For J&K, speedster Rohit Sharma was the most successful bowler, who claimed 4 wickets by conceding 134 runs in his 44 overs, while Umar Nazir bagged 2 wickets in 47 over by giving away 142 runs in his 47 overs. Shubam Khajuria and Fani claimed one wicket each.
