Shrine Board CEO reviews arrangements for pilgrims

KATRA, Sept 28: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has made elaborate arrangements to facilitate much larger number of pilgrims who are likely to visit the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji during Navratras, which are commencing from tomorrow.
These arrangements include ensuring round the clock water and power supply all along the track leading to the Shrine, sanitation and cleanliness, medicare and availability of special “fast related” food at the catering outlets of the Shrine Board.
On this occasion, Simrandeep Singh, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board also formally inaugurated a cultural programme facility for Yatris at Tarakote Langar which will showcase the Dogra culture. The event will be performed by a team of Shrine Board officials.
Simrandeep Singh visited Bhawan and various other locations on the track and reviewed the arrangements in view of the heavy rush of pilgrims expected during Navratras. He took stock of the arrangements put in place for facilitation of the visiting pilgrims at Yatra Registration Counters at Katra and, besides, at Darshani Deodi, Banganga, Adhkuwari, Tarakote Marg, Sanjichhat, Himkoti Marg, Bhawan, Bhairon and at other locations enroute Katra to Bhawan with Dy. CEOs, other officers, concerned engineers as well as Area and Unit Heads of the Shrine Board.
Giving details of these arrangements, the CEO said that like in the past the Bhawan of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji, Atka and the area surrounding it have been tastefully decorated with flowers brought from various parts of the country and abroad. All routes leading to the Holy Cave Shrine have been renovated and establishments whitewashed for the convenience of pilgrims, besides ensuring sufficient supplies of provisions, food, water etc. along the track.
Simrandeep Singh further said that the Shrine Board has also launched a special sanitation drive on the track, along the hill slopes, the holy Banganga river and in the Bhawan area for ensuring utmost sanitation and cleanliness.
