The concept of incarnation is a great philosophy in the Hindu religion. All the Vedas, Quranas, Shastras proclaim in unison that the Lord comes down in human form on earth in order to restore dharma. The lord Krishna proclaimed this in Bhagwad Gita.
Yada yada hi dharmasya
Glanir bhavati bharata
Abhyutthanam adharmasya
Tadatmanam srjamy aham
(I manifest myself when ever dharma is on its decline and adharma is flourishing).
Therefore in the present kaliyuga, divine had to incarnate in the human form, in answer to the soulful prayers and tapas of many many rishis and munis (saints and sages).During Puranic age Lord Shiva gave boons to sage Bhardawaj. Lord Shiva promised the sage, that he will be born in sage’s gothra thrice in kailyuga. As a result of this Lord Shiva incarnated as Shirdi Sai Baba, then again Shiva and Shakti together as Satya Sai Baba and now Shakti alone will incarnate as Prema Sai Baba in the same gothra. The first advent (Shirdi Sai) was for revealing divinity, the Second advent (Satya Sai) was to awaken the divinity in human beings. The next advent (Prema Sai) will be for propagating divinity.
As a result of the boons, Lord Shiva incarnated as Shirdi Sai on 28th Sep, 1835 in a remote village Pathri near Manwar. He began the restoration of dharma and left his mortal coil on 15th Oct, 1918 at 2.30 pm after telling one of his intimate devotees, Kaka Dixit that he would come back after 8 years. One can read Shri Sai Satcharita of Shirdi Sai Baba which gives full account of Baba’s life, his miracles, his power and teachings.
As foretold 8 years after attaining Samadhi in 1918, he incarnated in puttaparthy (a village in Anantpur district of Andhra Pradesh) on 23rd Nov, 1926. Sri Satya Sai exhibited his divinity right from his birth. He declared his mission very early (when he was a 14 year old school boy) on 20th October, 1940 that he had come down to set humanity back on the sacred path. He snapped all the emotional ties with his family members and threw away his school bag.
In each yuga the divine, had incarnated as an Avtar for some particular task. This incarnation has been different in that respect, it had to deal with the crisis which is worldwide and world shaking. The Lord incarnate knew perfectly well, what the ailment was and what the medicine should be. He had not come to kill anyone like earlier incarnations. His mission was clearly to unite humanity. The unique prescription he gave was that of Love and the message was loud and clear as he declared,” I have come to restore love among mankind, to clear it off narrowness and restrictive attitudes”.
Satya Sai Baba was not a jealous God, you could worship Christ or Krishna or Allah he said and still believe in him. To all he said” Continue the worship of your chosen god, along the lines already familiar to you.”
He repeatedly advised the devotees to become good Christians, good Muslims, and good Buddhists and so on. (He was not wedded to typical scriptures but while addressing a mass audience he had the ability to put down his message). Today many Hindu religious leaders make use of television and the jet plane but Baba built his “Empire of Soul” in an age before the communication revolution, before the satellite television and the social media. For a person who had followers from almost 135 countries, it is astonishing that he went abroad only once to Uganda in 1968.
Baba being incarnation of Avtar could perform many miracles. Human mind cannot just understand his Leelas. He used to bless his devotes through a creation of sacred Vibhuti by a mere flow of his hands. He had the power to produce even gems from the thin air. He gave vision, to the sightless and voice and hearing power, to the deaf and the dumb. Baba’s presence has been experienced at the same time at different places, thousands of kilometers apart….
He brought succor to so many people by the Drinking water project .He set up free schools and colleges with highest educational standards. His Medicare programmes are unparalleled, nowhere in the world, have we found free Medicare in super specialty hospitals as in Puttaparthy or White field.
Biggest miracle of Baba was his “LOVE” towards all. He could very easily establish a personal bond with everyone. He would not deal with all of us in the same way. Each one of us was and remains very special to him. Infact each one of us was given a different prescription. One thing common however, has been the way he made all of us feel, how dear each one of us was to him. This abiding feeling has remained deep in our hearts; this must persist and keep us going. How many of our troubles has he not taken upon himself?
He has borne the brunt of all our illnesses, our emotional problems and allowed his body to suffer.
He crucified himself everyday in order to cure our ailments. That is the reason his body suffered, his every organ suffered during his last days on earth. Even towards the end of his avtarhood he could have left his body in an instant but he lingered on to allow us, to accept the inevitable. That was our-compassionate and loving Sai Baba.
The ever present supreme, cosmic divine energy in the form of Shri Satya Sai Baba operated physically from 1926-2011 and has since been operating cosmically.

He set himself as an ideal example in every sphere and undertook massive jobs with perfect planning and considered no sacrifice too big for the happiness of humanity. He always said,” Serve the society with love and devotion, to make Swami happy.”
He condensed the teachings of Gita, the Quran and the Bible in two lines. “Love all serve all”
“Help ever hurt never”
He lived the way he preached, our Lord always said,” My life is my message”.
We living in this era ,are most blessed to witness the spiritual revolution, which is taking place for the first time in the history of mankind. A revolution more powerful and pervasive than any, that man has undergone so far. This revolution has love as both means and end. It will awaken the springs of love, all over the world. ” Revolution ” is the most apt word for the phenomenal changes which Bhagwan Satya Sai Baba started bringing about in the life of people of India and several other countries through his divine message-infact this divine mission aims at lifting the entire mankind from the morass of selfish materialism and bringing humanity together in a bond of love. Now responsibility lies on our shoulders to carry on his mission. As he has said,” Hands that serve are holier than the lips that pray”
