We are all spiritual beings in the human body. Each body has the soul, but we are so attached with the body and engrossed in material pursuits of the world that we ignore the soul. And the darkness of ignorance, we cause harm to ourselves as well as others.
Man is distanced from man due to various factors like religion, caste, creed and colour, region culture and nationality. This keeps mankind afflicted with jealousy, hatred and violence. Man’s ego and selfishness are shattering families and causing conflicts at social, religious and cultural levels. He does not hesitate from harming even his own kith and kin for petty worldly gains. Evil tendencies flourish because man is concentrated on body and the comforts it needs. Once he identifies himself in the domain of truth and lives life illuminated by it, the darkness of ignorance gets shattered and man is rescued from the negative feelings and tendencies.
Once we unite with God the Supreme father, we begin to appreciated the fundamental unity of the mankind as His creation. The walls of dividing humanity on the bases of religion, caste and community and numerous other factors get dismantled. Once the distance between God and man is removed and distance between man to man too disappears automatically.
Blessed is the life based on spiritual enlightenment. The light of knowledge takes one out from the darkness of ignorance, removes all kinds of delusions and renders life beautiful. One gets rid of negative feelings and lives full of divine virtues that bring happiness here and here after as well.
In the absence of truth man fights against man in the name of religion. There are conflicts over caste, colour, creed. This defames religion as well as religious prophets, Gurus and sages. This entire humanity as such gets blamed. Negative feelings like hatred, jealousy and violence prevail polluting the environment. Men’s ego make him selfish and greedy and he indulges in all kinds of corruptions. We see this today not only in India but elsewhere in the world also. Even the most advanced countries are not an exception. If a brute starts using knife and fork for eating food, it does not establish his progress.
Saints, Gurus and prophets preached truth despite opposition and the hardships they have to face. Their words of wisdom are guiding us even today. No doubt, we remember them, celebrate their birthdays, worship the places they visited, read and recite their Holy books, but all this remain futile because we don’t act on what they preach.
Time is passing for everyone. Nobody knows when this life may find its end, so we have to take this step, unite with truth without wasting anytime. Once we move towards this, virtues like love, peace and tolerance enter our life and make it beautiful not only for ourselves but others also.
Don’t search for God. Search the one who may unite you with God. An enlightened saint is one who can help you.
The company of devoted one’s makes us selfish. We oppress, exploit and harm others. Saints on other hand inspire us to unite with God. This removes the darkness of ignorance and leads us towards welfare, towards salvation.
