POONCH, July 14: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Rahul Yadav today reviewed the arrangements for Annual Budha Amarnath Yatra scheduled to start from August 6, 2019.
The meeting convened at Mandir Complex ,Mandi was attended by DIG Rajouri Vivek Gupta, Addl. SP Adil Hussain, ADC Sheraz Ul Haq, Tehsildar Mandi Javid Ibal, CO Bal Krishan, CDPO Mandi, Xen PHE, AEE PWD, SHO mandi, Agriculture Extension Officer, Harvinder Singh, Chief Horticulture Officer, members of Budha Amarnath Yatra Committee and civil society members.
The meeting discussed security arrangements, traffic management, provisions for power, safe drinking water, medical, transport facilities, accommodation and and other amenities for the pilgrims.
The meeting was informed that the yatra will commence on 6th of August and culminate on 16th of August with the departure of ‘Chari Mubarakh’ from Shri Dashnami Akhara Poonch.
The DC exhorted upon all concerned departments and stakeholders of Budha Amarnath Yatra to ensure foolproof arrangements for the smooth and successful conduct of the yatra.
The concerned departments informed the meeting that all the facilities for the yatris will be provided by different ‘Sewa Samities’ enroute from Bimar Gali to Budha Amarnath.
