Shortage of staff in Hr Sec Schools

Sir,
This is to draw the attention of the Deputy Chief Minister (Tara Chand) who also holds the Education portfolio, towards the shortage of lecturers in various disciplines in Higher Secondary Schools across the State. The Deputy Chief Minister had been magnanimous enough to promote some masters to the post of lecturers some time back. Though the move helped the schools to overcome shortage of staff, it did not meet the objective fully. There is still shortage of staff in these schools in various disciplines like economics, English, Environmental Science, Sociology and Mathematics. Unless these posts are fulfilled at the earliest it will affect the academic ambience in these Hr Sec Schools. Besides, the Education Department has presently published seniority lists of various subjects in leading newspapers of the State. In this context, it may be said that these lists are not updated in true sense. Because many lists  contain names of even those masters who  have been  either promoted in the concerned discipline or in other discipline. These lists also contain names of those who have either retired from services or are no more in this world.
These un-updated lists therefore create impediments for those who are on the verge of promotion but are not promoted because of this lacunae.
There are also the case of drop-outs. These have been unfortunately dropped from the list for none of their faults. It is quite welcome that  the seniority lists of some subjects have been published and it is hoped that other lists of remaining subject will see the light of the day at the earliest.
Therefore, in the interest of the teaching community and the schools of State, it is requested that shortage of staff be overcome by promoting the deserving masters in the subjects cited above.
Yours etc…
