Shopkeepers demand opening of business units in Samba

SAMBA, May 6: Shopkeepers of Samba have made an appeal to District Development Commissioner, Samba to issue orders for opening of the shops for some hours in the district as the goods lying in their shops will get perished due to complete lockdown.
According to the report, Tejinder Singh president of Beopar Association Samba said that some shops in the town are dealing in the readymade garments, clothes and cement etc which have been closed due to the lockdown for last 40 days. The goods kept in the shops are also going to perish, he added.
He appealed that the order to open these shops for some time be issued, so that the goods lying in the shops are saved from being damaged which in turn will also save the property of shopkeepers.
In this connection the members of Beopar Association Samba wanted to meet DC Samba, but due to his pre-occupation the Association met the ADC and made him aware of his problem. The ADC informed them that the issue will be taken up with DC Samba by him who in turn will take the decision.
