RAMBAN, Jan 16: A shopkeeper was killed after being hit by an unknown vehicle in the area falling under the jurisdiction of Banihal Police Station, a police official said.
The deceased has been identified as Abdul Waheed, son of Atta Mohammad, a resident of Halwagan. He was heading towards his home when an unknown vehicle hit him.
After completing legal formalities, the body of the deceased has been handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
A case under FIR Number 6/19 under section 279 and 304-A has been registered at Police Station Banihal and investigation started.
