JAMMU, Oct 16: A shopkeeper has been arrested along with 16 illicit liquor pouches from village Abdal, RS Pura, a police official said.
The arrested person has been identified as Veer Singh Chib alias Veeru. He was selling the illicit liquor pouches from his general store to people to earn illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 249/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at RS Pura Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary made the arrest under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
