JAMMU, Oct 16: Army Public School Domana organized alumni meet in the School campus with zeal and zest here today.
The chief guest on the occasion was Brig Abhijit Chandra, chairman of the School. The programme was a part of the Silver Jubilee Year celebration of the School.
Alumni meet was organized by the School to provide an opportunity to the school alumni to come together once again and enjoy the event by going down the memory lane. The programme began by lighting of the lamp by Dr Renu Gupta, Principal and alumni of the school.
The welcome speech was given by Dr Renu Gupta, the Principal of the School. In her speech, she expressed her satisfaction and gratitude to the alumni for their progress in life. She advised the alumni to keep themselves connected with the School which has been the place where the foundation of their lives was laid down. A word of gratitude was also expressed to the alumni by the senior teachers of the School.
The special part of the programme was the sharing of experiences by alumni, wherein they expressed their gratitude to the school staff for preparing them to face the journey of life with success.
The brief cultural programme which was presented by the School was mesmerizing. The entire audience was enthralled by the presentation. Besides, a video presentation about the journey of the school during last twenty five years was shown to the alumni.
Mementoes were presented to the alumni by the chief guest. Besides, special awards were also given to the oldest former students who were the main attraction of the event.
In his address, the chief guest complimented the alumni for attending the event despite their busy schedule. He advised them to keep themselves connected with the School as their success will be a great source of inspiration for the students of the School.
