Shootout accused arrested with weapons in Vijaypur

JAMMU, June 4: Vijaypur police today arrested a hardcore criminal involved in a shootout at Vijaypur on May 27 in which a youth Pardeep Singh alias Tony was seriously injured.
SSP Samba Anil Magotra said Vijaypur police teams capture the hardcore criminal Narinder Singh alias Vicku son of Pritam Singh R/o Kathar, Arnia after conducting raids at different places.
A police team from Vijaypur led by SDPO SS Sambyal arrested Vicku from a hideout, where he had taken shelter after returning from Himachal Pradesh. The accused had fled to Himachal after committing the crime.
While police had arrested two accused involved in the firing the same day, Vicku was absconding.
Police said the weapons of offence used in firing at Tony and stabbing him have been seized from the possession of accused, who was also wanted in a number of attempt to murder cases in Jammu including Bhagwati Nagar and Bus Stand.
Vicku had fired upon Pardeep Singh alias Tony with a view to kill him and wrest the contract of `Vijaypur Adda Parchi’, which was being run by Tony.
A case of attempt to murder has already been registered against Vicku and his two associates at Vijaypur police station for further investigations.
