Shooting stone hits Army Gypsy, jawan injured

RAMBAN, Jan 28: A jawan was seriously injured after shooting stone hit an Army Gypsy in Ramban area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway this morning.
The incident took place when the trucks and tankers carrying essential supplies moved slowly towards Kashmir Valley amid falling of shooting stones at various places along the national highway.
Identified as Sepoy Deepak Kumar of Territorial Army, he was shifted to Ramban hospital and then airlifted to Army’s Command Hospital at Udhampur.
He was part of a Road Opening Party when a Gypsy in which he was travelling, got hit by a shooting stones at Anokhi Fall in Ramban area today morning. There were reports of boulders coming down at Marog and Battery Chashma between Ramban and Ramsu during the day.
