JAMMU, June 4: Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) of J&K has alleged open loot by wine traders in Jammu city by charging over the MRP.
Addressing media persons at the party office here today, Manish Sahni, President J&K Shiv Sena said that it was surprising that the wine traders were selling liquor by charging over Rs 20 to 50 on MRP while the administration has turned a blind eye towards the grave issue.
Sahni said that most of the liquor shops in Jammu are charging more than the retail price. The shopkeepers misbehave with the customer on demanding the bill and most of the liquor vendors are refusing the online payment, he added.
Sahni said that the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir claims to provide corruption-free administration, but loot is going on under his nose.
Sahni warned that if strict legal action is not taken against those who collect more than the fixed price, then Shiv Sainiks will stop this loot and plunder in their own way. “If any law and order situation worsens during this period, the J&K administration will be responsible for it,” he added.
On this occasion, president Mehila Wing Meenakshi Chibber, Gen Secretary Vikas Bakshi and Prabhari Ashwani Prabhakar were also present.
