Shiv Sena takes out Tiranga rally, demands restoration of state status

JAMMU, July 12: The Jammu and Kashmir Unit of Shiv Sena today took out a Tiranga rally demanding restoration of State status to Jammu and Kashmir.
During the rally, the Shiv Sainiks also distributed ‘Lakshey Ptr’ based on people’s aspirations.
The rally was part of a mega campaign “Shiv Sampark” aimed to establish direct contact with the public to know their problems and issues and address them besides making them aware about the party’s people centric programme.
The rally was held under the leadership of party State Chief Manish Sahni with Shiv Sainiks holding the tricolour flags in their hands besides placards displaying slogan “Restore the State status” and “Fulfill your promises”.
The rally commenced from the famous Raghunath Temple market. During the rally, the manifesto and objectives of the party based on the aspirations of the people were distributed.
In his address, Manish Sahni said that on August 5, 2019, on the floor of the House, the Prime Minister and the Home Minister of the country had promised to return the statehood to Jammu and Kashmir soon. Three years have passed but nothing has been done in this regard, he added.
He said that none of the promises made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been fulfilled by the Modi Government, adding that Shiv Sena has prepared a 25-point manifesto based on the aspirations of the people and the party will contest the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir with a pledge to fulfill all its twenty five promises.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Meenakshi Chibber, Vikas Bakshi, Rakesh Gupta, Raj Singh, Geeta Lakhotra, Sukhwinder Kaur, Dimple, Mangu Ram, Sumit, Ashok Kumar, Praveen Gupta, Rajesh Handa, Sanjeev Sudan, etc.
