Shiv Sena protests against hike in petrol, diesel prices

JAMMU, Oct 26: Activists of Shiv Sena J&K Unit here today staged a protest demonstration against the continuous hike in fuel prices and skyrocketing inflation.
A large number of protesters led by Shiv Sena J&K president, Manish Sahni rode bullock carts and horse carts in protest and raised slogans against the government for turning a blind eye towards this most significant issue.
Addressing protesters, Manish Sahni said, inflation is breaking all time records everyday with prices of petrol and diesel increasing unabatedly.
He said, in last seven years, price of LPG cylinder has increased from Rs. 410 to Rs. 950 while that of petrol has increased from Rs. 71 to Rs. 106 and diesel from Rs. 57 to Rs. 96 per liter.
“In such a situation it has become difficult for the people of every class to survive,” he maintained making an appeal to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for some measures to provide relief to the people from the skyrocketing inflation.
Shiv Sena Women Wing president, Meenakshi Chhibber; general secretary, Vikas Bakshi; vice president, Balwant Singh; president Kamghar wing, Raj Singh; general secretary Kamghar, Balbir Singh, Sumit Abrol, Pawan Singh and others were also present in the protest.
