JAMMU, May 20: To promote Dogra cultural heritage, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), J&K unit, here today, launched the campaign ‘Har Ghar Dogra-Har Dafter Maharaja’.
The campaign was inaugurated by Dr. Ritu Singh and the Shiv Sainiks presented her a grand portrait of Maharaja Gulab Singh.
Addressing the gathering, Shiv Sena J&K chief, Manish Sahni said the ‘Har Ghar Dogra’ campaign is an ideological initiative aimed at restoring Dogra pride, social unity and the historical identity of J&K.
He further said that there is a need to connect the younger generation with their glorious history, culture, and heritage.
The Shiv Sena leader urged the Lieutenant Governor and the Chief Minister of J&K to ensure that portraits of Maharaja Gulab Singh Ji are respectfully installed in all the government offices, schools, colleges and administrative buildings.
He appealed to all the Dogra organizations, social institutions, youth and nationalist citizens of Jammu to join the campaign and collectively work towards preserving and promoting their heritage for future generations.
Sahni also announced that anyone interested can collect the special ‘Dogra Rajvansh’ posters free of cost from the Shiv Sena office.
Meenakshi Bakshi, Sanjeev Kohli, Raju Kapoor, Sanjay Bhatt and Aditya Mahajan were also present on the occasion.
