Shiv Sena, Dogra Front for making Jammu separate State

JAMMU, Sept 21: Shiv Sena and Dogra Front jointly and unanimously passed a resolution for making Jammu as a separate State.
Ashok Gupta, president of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena, stated that the 70% amount of the total plan is diverted towards the people of Valley, while 20% goes to Jammu and the rest i.e. 10% goes to Leh and Ladakh despite the fact that Jammu region is 70% larger in size than Kashmir valley.
“In the light of this discrimination, carving out a separate Jammu State is the ultimate solution to end this 70-year long discrimination with the Dogras of Jammu”, he added.
Besides this, Shiv Sena and Dogra Front passed a resolution against the settlement of Rohingyas in Jammu. The leaders alleged that most of these Bangladeshis are beggars and street hawkers who are acquainted with the nook and corners of Jammu, which in terms of security is a very big threat.
They took oath to protect the City of Temples from these immigrants, stating that if the Government doesn’t deport them they would take matter in their own hands.
A resolution was also passed that all efforts would be made to help getting a declaration of Katra as a holy city. “Katra which is the base camp for Mata Vaishno Devi shrine should be awarded with the title of Holy City as it would not only promote tourism but will act as an benchmark or an foray into declaring other cities also as holy towns which are home to the shrines”, they said, adding, there should be complete ban on sale of tobacco in Katra town.
All the resolution were passed on the sidelines of a religious function here at MAM stadium.
