Shiv Sena demands Population Control Law

JAMMU, July 16: Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray J&K president, Manish Sahni and Paramadhyaksh of Shri Rajmata Mandir Swami, Shri Rajeshwaranand Ji Maharaj have demanded laws for population control, free and compulsory education to girls besides reservation for women in jobs.
In a press conference here today Sahni said in today’s scenario, keeping in view the welfare and security of future generations, the population control law has become inevitable.
“Not only this, even compulsory and free education for women is a dire necessity today,” he said.
The Shiv Sena leader said that two years back Swami Shri Rajeshwaranand Ji Maharaj had written a letter with blood and had send it to the Prime Minister demanding population control law.
He informed that Shiv Sena national secretary and MP, Anil Desai had also introduced a private bill in February 2020 for providing government facilities for limiting the family to two children.
Meanwhile, Swami Rajeshwaranand said that the country is direly in need of population control law taking into consideration multiple aspects and factors whether economic, social or business interests.
He said that the law must ensure that those violating it are not entitled to government facilities.
“The couple having only girl child should be entitled to reservation in government jobs besides the government should bear all the expenses of education to the girl,” he asserted.
Women wing president of Shiv Sena, Meenakshi Chibber; general secretary, Vikas Bakshi; secretary, Balwant Singh; Parveen Gupta, Geeta Lakhotra, Meena Devi, Rakesh Handa and Dimple were also present in the press conference.
