JAMMU, May 19: As the Indo-Pak borders are calm these days and situation in J&K is rapidly returning to normalcy, an all-party delegation should be sent to the UT so that the economy of J&K, which was hit by Pahalgam attack, may come to track.
This was stated by Manish Sahni, president Shiv Sena UBT J&K while addressing a press conference here today.
Sahni said that the economy of J&K is based on tourism which has been hit badly by Pakistan-sponsored terrorism for the last 37 years and the situation worsened after Pahalgam attack.
“April to August is the peak season for tourism in Kashmir and the annual Amarnath Ji Yatra is also going to start from July 3,” he maintained appealing PM Modi to send an all-party delegation to J&K to give a message of normalcy.
The Shiv Sena leader also demanded announcement of relief and rehabilitation package for those hit by cross-border firing.
His other demand was restoration of Statehood to J&K.
Sahni further said that a memorandum has also been sent to PM Modi through the LG regarding these demands.
Shiv Sena senior vice president, Balwant Singh and Sanjeev Kumar were also present in the press conference.
