Shiv Sena demands action against Hookah Bars

JAMMU, Oct 6: The increasing trend of serving Hookah in restaurants of Jammu should be completely banned immediately.
This was stated by Shiv Sena J&K Unit head, Manish Sahni while addressing a press conference here today.
Sahni claimed that youth is increasingly falling prey to the Hookah and drug addiction in Jammu district which is a matter of serious concern as the figures in this regard are very shocking.
“Drug trade in J&K is increasing with every passing day. According to a survey, there are 6 lakh drug addicts in J&K and 90 per cent of these are in the age group of 17 to 33,” he maintained, adding that the youth are falling prey to drug addiction with the help of cheap intoxicant of Hookah.
The Shiv Sena leader appealed youth to stay away from drugs.
“The Hookah Bars are running under the nose of police,” he claimed urging the administration to act strictly against all Hookah Bars in Jammu city.
