JAMMU, Sept 21: Shiv Sena Bal Thackeray has announced that that the Sena will participate in this Municipal Corporation elections in Jammu as well as in Kashmir.
While addressing the media persons, President Dimpy Kohli said, “We are ready to participate in the Local Bodies elections and will fight it for the betterment of the public.
He further said the leaders from other main parties, who could not get the tickets are approaching us, adding that Sena will provide the same to the deserving candidates.
Working President Ashwani Gupta said since the public is betrayed by the BJP, it wants the change and will certainly support the Shiv Sena.
“Sena will welcome any deserving and honest candidate if he desires to fight the election on Shiv Sena tickets,” Mr Gupta said.
Rakesh Kak, General Secretary said this is for the first time Shiv Sena will be fighting the corporation elections in Kashmir Valley, adding that they are receiving calls from the valley for the same.
He said Shiv Sena will be addressing a Press Conference at Srinagar tomorrow for the participation of the election.
Other senior leaders who were present included Nath Pal, Sanjeev, Raj Singh, Sanjeev Sudan and Raju Salaria.
