Shingari intensifies election campaign

JAMMU, Nov 23: Senior Congress leader and party candidate from Jammu West Constituency, Surinder Singh Shingari today intensified his election campaign by conducting a hectic tour of various areas of the constituency for canvassing votes in his favour.
Shingari along with hundreds of Congress youth and supporters visited Bakshi Nagar, Gurha Colony, Old Gurha, Kabir Colony and many other areas of Jammu West constituency, conducted door-to-door campaign and appealed the people to vote in his favour.
Later, Shingari chaired a meeting with Fathers and Padries of various Churches, conducted at Dogra Hall, Jammu, wherein the Clergies exhorted in one voice to all Christian Bridaries including women and youth to vote and support en masse to Surinder Singh Shingari and ensure his victory in the ensuring election with huge margin.
He is the only candidate who has always helped the Christian Community at the time of adversity, they added.
In the evening, Shingari addressed various public meetings conducted at Vikas Nagar, Pritam Nagar, Paloura, adjoining areas of Janipur and Talab Tillo and highlighted the works done by Congress Party for the welfare of people.
Prominent among those who participated in door to door campaign and in the meetings included Sanjive Sharma (Ward president), PC Chouhan, Arun Gupta, Sushil Gupta, Joginder Sharma, CP Gupta, Ricky Dalotra (District general secretary), Sanjiv Kohli and hundreds of activists.
