Shiksha Sanskriti Uthan Nyas celebrates its foundation day

JAMMU, July 6: The Shiksha Sanskriti Uthan Nyas, Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Prant today celebrated its 22nd foundation day at the University of Jammu, with a focus on the re-establishment of the Indian education system.
Professor Neelu Rohmetra, Dean of Research Studies, University of Jammu, graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Professor Jasveer Singh, Rector of the Kishtwar Campus, was the special guest.
The keynote address was delivered by Professor Satinder Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Law. Dr Akshay Kumar, Sanyojak of the Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Prant, provided a brief overview of the program.
In her address, Professor Neelu Rohmetra emphasized the importance of reviving the Indian education system, particularly highlighting the need for reforms in the evaluation process and the integration of traditional Indian knowledge systems into modern education. She emphasized to character building of the youth.
Professor Jasveer Singh underscored the value of India’s ancient texts Ramayana, Mahabharata, and the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita as foundational sources of wisdom and the art of living. He highlighted the crucial role of education in nation-building.
Professor Satinder Kumar presented a comprehensive overview of the Shiksha Sanskriti Uthan Nyas’s work and progress over the past 22 years, offering insights into the organization’s vision and roadmap for the future.
Earlier, the program began with traditional rituals, including the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and Saraswati Vandana by Dr Roshi Charak. All dignitaries were warmly welcomed by Prof Ranvijay, Controller of Examinations, Cluster University of Jammu and Dr Neetu Kumari.
Dr Parduman Singh, Seh-Sanyojak of the Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Prant, delivered the formal vote of thanks. The event was attended by distinguished guests and faculty members including Prof Sudhir Kumar Singh, Prof Neelash Kumar, Prof Mohinder Singh, Prof N K Pankaj, Prof Dinesh Kumar Diwedi, Prof Pranav Kumar, Prof Pankaj from SKUAST, Advocate Yash Pal, Advocate Subhash, Gopal Singh from the Higher Education Department, Sunil Kumar from School Education, and several other educators.
