POONCH, Sept 1: A shepherd was seriously injured after he was attacked by a bear in the nearby jungle in Saujian area of Mandi in district Poonch today.
An official spokesman said that 60-year-old Ghulam Mohammed, son of Aziza, resident of Chhambar hamlet near Saujian was grazing his sheep and goats in the nearby jungle. As he was sitting under a tree, a bear attacked him causing serious injuries on face and head. Rescued by some other villagers, he was rushed to Mandi and then Poonch hospital.
