Sheetal takes stock of public grievances

JAMMU, Feb 11: Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Sheetal Nanda, today listened to the people’s grievances at PWD Guest House, Gandhi Nagar.
A large number of individuals from various districts of Jammu and Kashmir including Kathua, Samba, Kishtwar, Doda, Srinagar and Poonch met the Secretary and highlighted their demands regarding  development of Panchayats of their areas and related issues.
A deputation led by Chairman Association of Small & Tiny Industries Jammu, Harbinder Singh, demanded release of pending payments of various industries as per MSME guideline.
An individual from Malooh, Kathua demanded construction of a Toe Wall at Malooh village.
Various contractors from different places projected their problems faced by them due to delay in release of pending payments from Rural Development department against works completed by them.
On the occasion, Sheetal Nanda also asked people of Jammu and Kashmir to avail maximum benefits from the centrally sponsored schemes carried out by the government for the welfare of the people.
The Secretary gave on spot directions to the concerned officers to take necessary action on the issues raised by the people in a time bound  manner and action taken report to be submitted  before her.
Director Rural Development Department Jammu, Sudershan Kumar and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
