This is to draw attention of the concerned authorities, legislators and common man towards the callous attitude towards accident victims.
Recently, a horrible accident took place at Nagrota when a matador hit two motorbike borne youth. One person was bleeding profusely while second was unconscious and badly injured. It was quite shocking to note that no one in the vicinity extended a helping hand to these victims, till I lifted them in my car and took them to GMC Jammu for treatment.
On reaching the hospital premises, there was no stretches available to shift them toward. It was after a long time that arrangement was made for them.
What was more shocking was the fact that no help came after dialling number 100 – a service available during emergency.
Now who one is responsible for this mess ? GMC authorities, police or common people. Can any body answer ?
