Shastri seeks implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations

JAMMU, July 3: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC),  Subash Shastri today urged the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to take up with Prime Minister the issue  of special grant of Rs 9000 crores for implementation of 7th Pay Commission in favour of employees and pensioners in Jammu and Kashmir  as well as regularization of the services of 61,000 daily rated workers.
Addressing NMC workers  here today, Shastri said that Prime Minister should make special provision so as to ward off any  imbalance created on account of 7th Pay Commission fallout and fulfilling the commitment made by top brass of BJP leadership during Parliamentary and J&K Assembly election.
“The State immediately needs special package for implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations and the issue of sixty one thousand daily rated workers whose regularization is pending despite rational recommendations in their favor. Only Prime Minister Narendra Modi and State Chief Minister have the will to settle these burning problems.”  Shastri added.
During the meeting, Shastri also highlighted some other demands of the employees, which include setting up of departmental wage head for disbursement of daily rated workers’ wages, enhancing monthly salary of daily wagers to Rs  10,000 per month, early release of all pending wages of PWD, Irrigation and Flood Control Department etc.
Among those,  who were present on the occasion,  included Rajan Babu Khajuria, Sunil Kochhar, Satinder Kumar, Mohd Shafi, Darshan Bawa, Suraj Parkash, Jai Pal Sharma, Pardeep Kumar, Raghupal and others.
