Shastri asks political parties to clear stand on regularization

JAMMU, Nov 10: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today appealed the front line political parties to make their respective stand clear regarding regularization of the services of 62000 causal/seasonal laborers/adhoc and contractual employees of the State Government, so that uncertainty and confusion among the daily rated workers could come to end.
Addressing a largely attended rally of causal labourers here, Shastri demanded that these parties should incorporate their firm stand regarding the fate of these workers in their election manifesto as political commitment.He urged the State Government to release all pending wages of causal labourers without any further delay.
Release of pending installments of 17% DA due from January and July beside enhancing the wages of working class to Rs 10000 per month, strictly implementing CP Fund scheme in all departments of the State Govt, declaring 7th Pay Commission as a National Pay Commission and amending SRO 64 were other demands highlighted in the rally.
