JAMMU, Aug 29: The Government of India has empanelled Principal Secretary, Planning and Development Department BR Sharma as Additional Secretary in the Government of India.
An order to this effect was issued today.
Sharma is 1984 batch IAS officer of Jammu and Kashmir cadre.
Sharma has held various prestigious posts in Jammu and Kashmir including Home Secretary, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Power Secretary etc. As a CEO, Sharma is credited with successful holding of Panchayat elections in the State after 38 years.
