Sharma Charitable Trust gives financial help to needy

JAMMU, Sept 19: Madan Lal Sharma Charitable Trust provided financial assistance to the poor and needy people during a meeting at village Sainth of Khour Block.
The meeting was chaired by Chairperson of the Trust, Satish Sharma. A large number of people from Panchayat Sainth and adjoining areas were present during the meeting. A number of prominent persons of the area spoke on the occasion which included, Ex Vice Chairman OBC Board Kuldeep Raj Verma, Prem Singh, Ram Swaroop, Rano Devi, Sarpanch Charan Dass, Ex-Sarpanch Sukhdev Sharma, Suman Sharma, Vakeel Singh, Lambardar Charan Dass and Darshan Lal Panch.
The speakers raised the various problems and issues being faced by the people of this border area, like pending compensation for the land acquired by the army, poor condition of the roads, re-instatement of ALC quota and asked Sharma to raise these issues before the concerned authorities.
Speaking on the occasion Satish Sharma referred to the pathetic condition of the road and claimed that he was well aware of the major issues of the area. He said we have to fight a long agitation unitedly to get back our ALC certificate as it is question of our upcoming generations. He said that merging ALC with IB category certificate is a serious fraud.
During the function program financial assistance/ cheques were given to several poor and needy families of the area.
After this, sports kits for volleyball, cricket and football were also distributed amongst the youth besides note books amongst School going children of the area. Sharma assured all possible help to the needy people of the area.
