Sharda Colony delegation meets CE R&B

JAMMU, Aug 13: A delegation of Sharda Colony Residents Welfare Association called on Chief Engineer, PWD and requested him to fix a spot, where a bridge on Ranbir canal can be constructed giving a proper link to Sharda Colony, as it is a long pending demand of the inhabitants of the area.
Moreover, the delegation reiterated the demand for restoration of damaged roads and their Macadamization along with proper drains from Barnai and Patoli Bhramna main bridges to Sharda Colony. The delegation said matter has also been already brought into the notice of Chief Engineer by Ashok Koul general secretary (organization) J&K BJP.
The Chief Engineer assured the delegation that the work will start soon. The delegation comprised Umesh Talashi president
SCRW Association, Dr Ramesh Bhat and Kamala.
The delegation said the matter is of urgent nature as the Highway construction is going on war footing and adjacent colonies need proper links to the super highway. The Chief Engineer assured that the needful will be done and bridges linking to these colonies with Highway will be constructed.
