JAMMU, Dec 29: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Choudhary, along with MLA Akhnoor Rajiv Sharma, inaugurated lift irrigation schemes at Bal and Sroh in Chowki Choura block.
Chief Engg Irrigation, Chief Engg PHE, SE PHE & Irrigation, XEn PHE, XEn Irrigation, AEE, JE and prominent locals were present on the occasion. Mandal Pardaan Chowki Choura, different sectoral officers and locals of far flung Panchayats were also present there.
Project cost of Bal and Saroh schemes is Rs 89 lakh and Rs 71 lakh, respectively. Both the schemes will be highly beneficial for the farmers of Kandi belt.
Speaking on the occasion, Sham Choudhary assured the public to continue such development works in future too. He said that the BJP Government was committed for equitable development of all the sectors of State.
MLA Akhnoor Rajiv Sharma also spoke on the occasion and assured the quality and speedy works for the development of Akhnoor constituency.
Others, present on the occasion, included;   Mandal Pardan B D Sharma, Bodh Raj, Deewan Chand  Ram Lal, Prem Nath,  Gushu Ram, Kaka Ram, Joginder Kumar, Rakesh Sharma and  Deepak Sharma.
