Baba Chamaliyal annual fair saw hundreds of devotees converging at the shrine , young, old, men and women. Importantly the devotees from the other side too thronged the shrine to partake the shakkar and sharbat which many claim being of divinely healing properties. Pakistani Rangers in particular make it to the shrine every year where our security forces extend to them all courtesies and hospitalities. Such occasions give messages of friendship and peace in the interests of humanity. It is strange that only within 12 hours there can be a border violation and resorting to heavy firing from Pakistani side. Let the true message of friendship and humanity as emanating from shrines and holy places impress war mongers to opt for peace and friendship.
