Shahnawaz urges Govt to prepare plan for migration of Gujjar, Bakerwals

JAMMU, Apr 14: Shahnawaz Choudhary, General Secretary PCC J&K, has appealed the Government to make a detailed plan for the safe migration of Gujjar Bakerwals to the pastures along with their live stocks.
“All the Deputy Commissioners should be ordered to provide security and ration to the nomads who will migrate to the mountains. Special desks should be opened in each district to give permission for migration,” he demanded.
Also condemning the attack on stranded labourers from Jammu and Kashmir in Himachal, Mr Shahnawaz requested Lt Governor ‘s administration in Jammu and Kashmir to also make a detailed plan to bring back labourers hailing from J&K and stranded in different parts of India, particularly neighbour States like Punjab, Haryana, Himachal etc.
Respective State Governments should provide security and ration to the stranded labourer and students too, he stressed in a statement, issued here today.
