KATHUA, Apr 15: Seeking vote for Ghulam Nabi Azad, Pradesh Youth Congress president Shahnawaz Choudhary today addressed a series of meetings at villages Tandri, Kamad, Bhaiya, Chanjasyal, Hatli and Kalibari of Kathua district
Mr Shahnawaz was accompanied by Neeraj Kundan, State president of NSUI.
Appealing the people to support the candidature of Ghulam Nabi Azad in the Parliament election, Shahnawaz Choudhary said that the former was mass leader of the nation and  has unblemished track record. Azad is an experienced leader and people must vote for him ensuring his victory with huge margin, he added.
The PYC president said the UPA will again come in the power in centre; therefore, the people should support Azad overwhelmingly so that he continues to work for the welfare of the Jammu and Kashmir. He threw light on the works of Ghulam Nabi Azad during his Chief Ministership as well as Union Minister for Health. “We are fortunate that Azad is contesting from this constituency, so we shall support him with all means and best efforts,” he added.
Alleging that communal forces were trying to mislead the masses, Mr Shahnawaz asked the people to give befitting reply to such forces in the election. He said BJP has hatred agenda; their view point is to incite the sentiments of innocent masses in the name of religion, caste, creed, colour and regionalism. “Their role is totally negative and dismal in Jammu and Kashmir as they cannot become partner in the Government, thus supporting this party is a futile exercise and wasting the votes,” he explained.
While speaking in the meetings, Neeraj Kundan said that Azad was the only deserving candidate for the Lok Sabha from this Parliamentary constituency. Azad is the only leader who has developed the State in a short span of three years upto the level that no other person may have developed in more than a decade, he said.
Others who spoke in the meetings, included Nasib Ali, Abhishek Dogra,  Romi Sharma,  Kasturi Advocate, Ajaz Choudhary and  Balbir Sethi.
