‘Shahidi Diwas’ of Guru Teg Bahadur observed

JAMMU, Dec 2: The ‘Shahidi Diwas’ of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur was observed with religious fervor and gaiety at Rocha Singh Ji Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Sector -14, Nanak Nagar, Jammu.
The function was organized by Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee under the patronage of Mahant Manjit Singh, Head of Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch. A large number of devotees participated in the function and sought blessings of the Great Guru who sacrificed his life for humanity. Former Minister Raman Bhalla also participated in the ‘Samagam’.
Hazoori Ragi Jathhas Satinderjeet Singh of Patiala and Kawaljeet Singh recited ‘Shabad Keertan’ whereas Gurpreet Singh (Parcharak/Kathawachak) threw light on the life history and sacrifice of Guru Tej Bahadur Sahib.
Mahant Manjit Singh, while speaking on the occasion, highlighted the contribution and sacrifice of Shri Guru Tej Bahadur towards Sikh community and humanity.
A free day-long medical camp was also held at Gurdwara Sahib by a team of doctors led by Dr Sushil Sharma (HoD Cardiology, GMC Jammu). The function ended with serving of ‘Guru ka langer’ to the devotees.
