Shaheen expresses concern over surge in COVID-19 cases

BANIHAL, May 16: National Conference (NC) Ramban president, Sajjad Shaheen has expressed concern over the sudden surge in COVID-19 cases in district Ramban especially in Banihal Constituency in the last few days.
In a handout he said that such cases may increase significantly in coming days due to influx of more migrants in the district.
Shaheen has appealed to the Government to provide free essential commodities, masks and financial help to all the residents at door steps in the areas declared as red zone.
The NC leader urged upon the administration to set up testing facilities for COVID-19 in all local hospitals in the district and ensure the availability of Personal Protective Equipments (PPE) etc to all health workers including doctors, nurses, ward boys and other medical and paramedical professionals attending COVID-19 patients in the district.
