Shaheen demands free ration, medicines

BANIHAL, Mar 26: National Conference District Ramban president, Sajjad Shaheen today demanded immediate evacuation of labourers, traders and students hailing from J&K who are stranded in different parts of the country in the wake of Coronavirus lockdown.
In a handout Shaheen claimed that over two thousand labourers, traders and students hailing from different areas of Banihal and other parts of Ramban have stuck up at Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal, Punjab, Gujarat etc.
He also said that government of J&K should ensure availability of ration, Kerosene oil and LPG at Government depots and fair price shops so that poor people may not suffer in these hours of crisis.
Shaheen further said that J&K Government should also provide three month free ration to the affected people especially to labourers and other marginalized sections of the society till the situation arising out of COVID-19 crisis remains there.
