Anupshahar, Feb 3: Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday attacked Samajwadi Party once again, slamming them for supporting criminals, and also targeted the SP-RLD alliance ahead of Uttar Pradesh polls.
Shah accused the Samajwadi Party of supporting criminals, and said the state will see the return of criminals if they are voted in. He also sent out a message to RLD’s Jayant Chaudhary, who the BJP failed to rope in despite attempts.
He also attacked the SP alliance with Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), and said, “their government will not come into power, but even if they do, Jayant Babu is thinking Akhilesh will listen to him”.
“You’re mistaken Jayant babu. The one who does not listen to his father and uncle, would not listen to you,” he said referring to RLD leader Jayant Chaudhary.
“If SP government is formed, Jayant will be out and Azam Khan will be there,” he said.
Shah, while reaching out to Jat leaders, had said that Jayant Chaudhary had ‘chosen the wrong home’ and hinted that the doors were open for him in the BJP.
Shah also mentioned the Padma Vibhushan given to former Uttar Pradesh chief minister late Kalyan Singh, and said he happily sacrificed his CM’s chair for Ram temple.
“On one hand there’s Kalyan Singh who gave up his CM’s chair, on other hand there is SP which ordered firing on Kar Sevaks,” Shah said.
Shah also mentioned the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, and the surgical strike conducted by Army as achievements of the Modi government.
Shah also campaigned in Dibai and Loni of Uttar Pradesh.
The elections in Uttar Pradesh will take place in seven phases, on February 10, 14 , 20, 23, 27, March 3 and 7. (UNI)
