SRINAGAR, Nov 18: Minister of State for Health, Shabir Ahmad Khan today in presence of Member Legislative Assembly, Amirakadal, Constituency, Nasir Aslam Wani inaugurated Primary Health Center building Gangbugh, Srinagar.
The construction work of this hospital building, Medical Officer’s quarter and compound wall was taken up at a cost of Rs 1.76 crore. The work on hospital building and Medical Officer’s quarter has been completed at an expenditure of Rs. 1.50 crore while as the work on compound wall is apace and would be completed soon.
Addressing a public meeting after inauguration of the hospital building, the Minister announced 24×7 services in Primary Health Center, Gangbugh.
The Minister said that State Government with liberal financial support of Central Government has initiated several health programmes and schemes in the State. He said Government very soon is going to launch a new scheme RBSK in the State for providing free treatment facilities to the children upto the age group of 18 years. He said in this regard the completion of necessary formalities including engagement of ISM doctors, ANMs and other requisite staff are at final stage.
Former Minister and MLA, Nasir Aslam Wani highlighted the achievements registered by the present Government on development front across the State. He said improvement and upgradation of basic amenities with thrust on core sectors remains priority of the Government.
Meanwhile, the Minister accompanied by Nasir Aslam Wani visited under execution 50 bedded hospital building Chanapora and took stock of the project, under construction at an estimated cost of Rs. 20.50 crore.
The Minister instructed the concerned executing agency to intensify the efforts and accelerate the pace of work on the project for its time bound completion.
