Shabir demands special package for flood affected Rajouri

RAJOURI, Sept 13: Alleging that border hilly district, Rajouri is one of the most affected areas in -terms of human loss and damage of property, former Minister and MLA Rajouri today demanded a special rehabilitation package for the district.
In an effort to connect with the people, Khan along with officers of the PHE, PDD, PWD, Police and Revenue Department visited hilly rural pockets of the district including Dreri, Dabrot, Mangalnar areas where huge loss of lives and property have occurred due to land sliding and flash foods.
While interacting with the local people, who apprised him about their losses, MLA Rajouri expressed his grief and anguish over this unprecedented raining occurred due to western disturbances and monsoon which left millions of people live in hunger, without drinking water and shelter.
Khan said no doubt State Government and district administration is doing all efforts but still a lot more has to be done for complete rescue and relief operation. Khan said that he will stand with his people all the times and shall share their miseries.
The former Minister collected the first-hand information of the suffering populace and assured all possible help for their speedy improvement. He stressed upon the administration to provide the relief to needy on war footing and urged the Central Ministry to provide special assistance for Rajouri.
Khan directed the concerned officers of the districts to restore power supply, water supply and road connectivity in the affected areas.
He also monitored the camps organized by the Health Department to provide better health care services to the public. Khan said that each and every possible effort shall be made for providing the relief to the public and asked the revenue officers to expedite the process of assessment of losses.
