Srinagar, May 24: Taking serious note of the report of the Pradhan Mantri Arogya Mitras (PMAMs) across GMC, Srinagar, and Associated Hospitals not getting their due incentive share, the State Health Agency (SHA) has sought details from all the hospitals.
In this regard, the officials told Excelsior that the report has been taken note of and the concerned hospitals have been asked to furnish details on how are they disbursing the incentive share among the various stakeholders.
“The matter has been taken note of and the hospitals across have been asked to provide the details concerning the incentive share given as per the guidelines issued,” officials said.
Earlier, Excelsior carried a report regarding the issue where the PMAMs had stated that were not getting their due share of incentives as guaranteed to them under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY)-SEHAT scheme across hospitals that are associated with the GMC, Srinagar except for one.
The officials said that once the details are gathered, the same will be analyzed in accordance with the guidelines that have been issued by the Health & Medical Education Department in 2019.
“The details that will be furnished will bring to the fore whether the incentive shares are being disbursed as per the guidelines and calculation noted in the notification issued in this regard,” the officials said.
They added that while all the hospitals in J&K are empanelled under the scheme, they need to ensure adherence to the guidelines issued and cannot digress from the same.
“The matter will be addressed after the necessary details are sought and necessary measures will be taken so that the hospitals comply with the directives and the PMAMs including other stakeholders get their due share of incentives.”
Pertinent to mention here, that the PMAMs run the Transaction Management System which includes carrying out several processes aimed at ensuring that the cases of patients at the hospitals are processed within a set time frame.
They also run the Beneficiary Identification System which is meant for making Golden cards while they ensure the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY)-SEHAT scheme reaches every patient admitted which ultimately turns out to be round the clock job.
The PMAMs said that they urged the authorities to release their share, however, they said, the same was being delayed due to unknown reasons. “Now that the matter is being considered by the concerned authorities, we are hoping for an early resolution of the issue,” they said.
