SGEJAC discusses demands

UDHAMPUR, July 24: A meeting of State Government Employees Joint Action Committee (SGEJAC) was held here at Town Hall under the chairmanship of Sushil Sudan to discuss their demands.
The meeting discussed various demands of the employees including regularization of all adhoc, contractual, consolidated, daily wagers and need based employees, removal of pay anomaly of clerical staff, enhancement of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000, reduction of qualifying service from 28 years to 20 years as per Central Government employees, release of 10% DA and 4th installment of 6th Pay Commission in cash with immediate effect.
The speakers urged the Government to fulfill the demands of the employees without any delay. It was also decided in the meeting that all the employees will participate in Kashmir Chalo Programme on August 20, 2014. The speakers also decided to hold a meeting of all State Government employees at Town Hall in District Udhampur.
