Sewa Dal demands probe into MGNREGA

SAMBA,  Jan 22: Sewa Dal has demanded probe into MGNREGA schemes in district Samba. The demand was made by State chief of Sewa Dal, Balwinder Singh Sambyal and its district president Samba, Raj Kumar Bhagat while talking to reporters here, today.
They made an appeal the State Government to probe the scheme MGNREGA which was launched by Centre for welfare of the people. They alleged that the job card holders face the problem of payment which is due from a long time and the Rural Development Department (RDD) was not making the timely payment to them.
Mr Sambyal made and appeal to Cabinet Sub-Committee to give the status for new tehsils to Purmandal and Mansar for the development of these hilly and remote areas.  He alleged that the kandi area is being ignored in the development as well as in giving benefits under  Center sponsored schemes.
