Several trains halted after fire breaks out along railway track

SAMBA, May 16: Under suspicious circumstances, a fire broke out in the bushes in a vast area along the railway track in Bari Brahmana area due to which rail services were suspended for several hours.
The locals informed the Department of Fire Services after which some fire tenders reached the spot and the fire was brought under control after about 4 hours. However, till then, all the trains were stopped at different places.
Vande Bharat Expressway was stopped at Vijaypur Railway Station, Janmabhoomi train stopped in Samba, Tata Muri in Ghagwal, Malwa in Hiranagar due to which the passengers traveling in these trains had to face a lot of trouble.
The Fire brigade personnel told that they got a call at around 12:45 that there was a lot of fire along the 83/3 – 84 rail track of the Trore area, following which fire tenders from Vijaypur and Bari Brahmana were rushed to the spot. The fire was brought under control after 4 hours and after that the train services were resumed.
Police Station GRP Jammu had registered a case in this connection and started investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire.
