SRINAGAR, Apr 13: During its continuous drive to check the menace of distribution of spurious and misbranded pesticides and to control black marketing of fertilizers in Kashmir, Law Enforcement Wing of the Agriculture Department inspected various godowns of dealers of Pesticides/Fertilizers in district Kulgam, Pulwama, Baramulla and in this context Law Enforcement Inspector, Pulwama booked Qureshi Agro Chemicals at Shadimarg Pulwama, Manzoor Ahmad Dar of Drubgam and Mushtaq Enterprises Noorpora Tral of Pulwama for carrying out their business in contravention of Insecticides Act, 1968 and a huge quantity of pesticides were seized from these dealers.
Meanwhile, Law Enforcement Inspector, Kulgam booked M/s Naikoo Farooq of Zaban Yaripora, Bhat Agro Chemicals of Laisoo Kulgam, Aijaz Ahmad Alaie R/o DH Pora, Javaid Pesticides, DH Pora, Bhat Agro Chemicals R/o Khul Noorabad, Mohhammd Iqbal Alie R/o DH Pora, Shahjehan Pesticides, Punewah Bugam, Fayaz Ahmad Chak R/o Nagam, Bashir Ahmad Bhat R/o Samnoo Nehama, Kulgam and Bhat Pesticides with Prop. Tariq Ahmad Bhat R/o Khukherhama Nehama, Kulgam for running their business in contravention of Insecticides Act, 1968 and a huge quantity of stocks of pesticides were stopped for sale from these dealers.
In addition, Law Enforcement Inspector, Baramulla has recommended suspension of Insecticides License of Parrey Agro Chemicals, Hygam, Malik Pesticides, Warpora Sopore, Zahoor Pesticides, Dangiwachi, Dar Pesticides Prop. Parveez Ahmad Dar R/o Sopore, Bashir Ahmad Lone, Dangiwachi and Zahoor Pesticides, Watergam who were running their business of insecticide in contravention of Insecticides Act, 1968.
Law Enforcement Inspector, Shopian lodged FIR against Arshid Ahmad Malik S/o Ab. Majid Malik R/o Bunbazar, Shopian shop at Bunbazar, Shopian under No. 49/ 2015 with Police Station Shopian for violation of Fertilizer Control Order, 1985.
