Several illegal power connections disconnected

JAMMU, June 23: Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) Gangyal led by AEE Nitin Mahajan under the directions of PD Singh Executive Engineer, Electric Division-II, Gandhi Nagar carrie out massive drive to disconnect illegal connections at Chattha Bore Camp today.
During the drive to remove illegal connections, 35 connections which were running illegally were disconnected and people were made aware of the rules and regulations of the department.
As per official spokesman, in continuation to daily disconnection drive, the Enforcement Team headed by Assistant Executive Engineer along with Assistant Engineer, Feeder Managers and other field staff conducted inspections in different sections of Electric Sub Division Gangyal and inspections of various transformers which were recently damaged due to illegal connections.
Some of the houses which were running more than 10 Air Conditioners without paying electricity were disconnected and load of the defaulters was increased on the spot. People of the area were sensitised towards paying electricity bills so that the deficit of power revenue could be increased.
Those who participated in the drive include Nitin Mahajan, Assistant Executive Engineer, Junior Engineer Navneet Gupta, Parvinder Kaur, Junior Engineer, Hiteshwar Sood, Junior Engineer, Rasik Bhagat Junior Engineer, Jasvinder Singh, Junior Engineer and IP Singh Junior Engineer.
